This review covers Royal Canin Medium Adult dry food, intended by its manufacturer for adult medium-breed dogs weighing 11-25 kg, from 12 months. Listed sizes are 4, 10 and 15 kg. Medium Adult 7+ and the wet recipes are separate products.
The historical PetFoodRate entry “Hill’s Medium Adult Optimal Care” and the merchant offer “Adult 1-6 Medium chicken” have different names. This check has not established recipe equivalence. The historical entry’s score must not be transferred to the current offer simply because the names look similar.
Royal Canin’s current declared recipe
The ingredient list starts with dehydrated poultry proteins, followed by wheat, maize flour, wheat flour and maize. It also lists hydrolysed animal proteins, animal fats and dehydrated pork proteins. Their individual percentages are not disclosed. Manufacturer label.

The previous description “rice first, 14% chicken” does not describe this current label. We have also removed estimates of total meat and cereal percentages: the published information does not support those calculations.
What C (65/100) means
